Tel Aviv Building Collapse During Renovation; Occupants' Fate Unknown

Emergency services, including police, fire and rescue teams, and medical personnel, rushed to the scene following reports of the collapse around 9:30 AM. While early reports from several outlets indicated that three construction workers were trapped and successfully rescued from the debris, Israel Hayom reported that five workers managed to exit the structure on their own before the collapse occurred. No injuries have been reported.

As a safety precaution, the municipality and emergency forces evacuated dozens of residents from three adjacent buildings. Security footage from the scene captured a man sitting on a nearby bench fleeing just seconds before the structure crumbled, followed by other panicked passersby.

Police closed several major intersections in the area, including Herzl at Ahad Ha'am, Nachalat Binyamin at Montefiore, and Rothschild at Nachalat Binyamin, causing significant traffic disruptions. Search and rescue teams, including specialized units, continue to search the rubble to ensure no one remains trapped, while authorities investigate the cause of the collapse.
