IDF Finds Hezbollah Explosive Device and Positions in Southern Lebanon

The military operation, conducted during the week leading up to Wednesday, October 14, 2026, targeted terrorist infrastructure near the Lebanese border village of Kfar Shuba, which is also referred to as Shuba. Soldiers from Unit 810 carried out targeted searches in the area to locate and dismantle Hezbollah assets, aiming to neutralize threats and disrupt the terrorist organization's efforts to establish a military presence along Israel's northern border. The IDF continues to monitor and counter Hezbollah's activities and military buildup in the region to prevent attacks originating from Lebanese territory.

During the searches, the forces uncovered a weapons cache containing an explosive device that was prepared and ready for immediate detonation. In addition to the explosive, the soldiers located a Hezbollah observation and resting post, which functioned as an active staging area, along with other military combat equipment. All of the discovered weapons, explosives, and infrastructure materials were secured and confiscated by the IDF soldiers following the operation.
