Noveh Tzion Rabbis Personally Supervise Liver Roasting for Highest Kosher Standards

מאת משה ויסברג

The story · English

The Noveh Tzion Rabbinical Court (Badatz), known for its meticulous kosher supervision, recently sent senior rabbis to personally oversee the roasting of liver at the kosher meat company Ashpar. Among the supervising rabbis were Rabbi Yaakov Ben Shimon, head of Noveh Tzion and son of the late Rabbi Shlomo Ben Shimon; Rabbi Chanoch Cohen, head of the Be'er HaTalmud yeshivas; and Rabbi Yitzchak Zayat, son-in-law of the late Rabbi Shalom Cohen, former head of the yeshiva. The rabbis closely monitored every step of the liver roasting process to ensure it met the highest kosher standards, expressing admiration for the level of care and stringency demonstrated.

A Badatz Noveh Tzion official explained that the rabbis’ direct involvement, even in seemingly simple tasks like liver roasting, reflects their deep sense of responsibility and attention to detail to prevent any kosher violations. This hands-on approach follows the path set by the late Rabbi Shalom Cohen and continues under the guidance of Rabbi Masoud Ben Shimon, who directs every step of the supervision. The rabbis’ personal supervision exemplifies the Badatz’s commitment to uncompromising kosher certification.
