IDF Kills Hamas Commander in Deir al-Balah After Several Days Without Strikes
After several days without targeted killings in the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated Sharif Al-Hasanat, a Hamas platoon commander, in Deir al-Balah. Earlier the same day, fighters from the Givati Brigade in southern Gaza neutralized another Hamas militant who crossed the border and posed an immediate threat to Israeli forces. The IDF confirmed that the soldier shot the attacker to eliminate the danger.
