Israeli Forces Kill Hamas Commander Leading Terror Tunnel Reconstruction in Deir al-Balah
The Israeli military announced that it killed Sharif Al-Hasanat, a Hamas platoon commander in the Deir al-Balah Brigade, during an operation in the Deir al-Balah area on Saturday. Al-Hasanat was actively involved in efforts to rebuild Hamas's underground tunnel network throughout the ongoing conflict. Recently, he also advanced terror plans targeting Israeli forces and civilians. The IDF stated that Al-Hasanat posed an immediate threat to Israeli troops, which justified the strike against him. Israeli forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue operations to neutralize any threats.
