Bnei Brak Yeshiva Marks Fifth Edition of Rabbi Yitzchak Topik's Mussar Book

Last week, Be'er Yehuda Yeshiva held a large celebration for the release of the fifth edition of its head rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Topik's, mussar book, "Sheva Yipol Tzaddik". The volume has become widely studied in yeshivot, with hundreds of students learning it daily during mussar sessions, and the new edition includes additions and annotations.

The event took place in the yeshiva's main study hall and was attended by leading rabbis, including Sephardi Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef, Rabbi Benyamin Finkel, Rabbi Chacham Nissim Ben-Shimon, the yeshiva heads, and its rabbis. The gathering opened with afternoon prayers, followed by remarks from Rabbi Yosef, who encouraged the students and praised the yeshiva's leaders for their Torah study in both Talmud and Jewish law, noting their connection to earlier Torah giants, Rabbi Ezra Attiyah and Rabbi Ben Tzion Abba Shaul.

Rabbi Yosef told the students that the yeshiva combines two strengths, mussar and halachic study. He said, "There are two things here, first of all, as I said, the important mussar book 'Sheva Yipol Tzaddik,' which is a beautiful book, I studied it and read it." He added that the yeshiva's leaders are deeply devoted to halachic learning and study Gemara in practical legal context.

Rabbi Benyamin Finkel and Rabbi Nissim Ben-Shimon also spoke in praise of the yeshiva, its rabbis and students, and offered words of encouragement. Rabbi Eliyahu Topik, head of Be'er Yehuda yeshivot, spoke about the need to strengthen yirat shamayim, prayer, and continuous Torah study amid current hardships, especially during the long summer Fridays. In the concluding address, Rabbi Yitzchak Topik thanked God for His kindness, especially for the publication of his book, and the ceremony ended with dancing in honor of Torah and its learners.
