Maccabi Tel Aviv is preparing to free up a foreign player slot by loaning winger Henry Edu to Tondela, a club competing in Portugal's second division. Edu, who returned from a loan spell at OFK Belgrade in Serbia, has been training separately from the Maccabi Tel Aviv squad after being informed he is not part of the club's future plans. The loan deal includes an option for Tondela to purchase Edu permanently. This move will allow Maccabi Tel Aviv to add another foreign player to their roster by opening up a spot previously occupied by Edu. The club appears close to finalizing the arrangement, which will resolve the current roster complication.
