This mission follows a devastating earthquake that struck Colombia on Monday, resulting in at least 265 deaths and over 3,500 injuries. The deployment was ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and initiated after Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar proposed assistance to his Colombian counterpart, President Gustavo Petro.
The delegation, jointly led by the Home Front Command and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will fly from Nevatim Airbase on an Israeli Air Force plane.
