IDF Kills Senior Hezbollah Commander Ali Musa Daqduq in Southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces said it killed Ali Musa Daqduq over the weekend south of the Litani River in Lebanon. Daqduq was described as a senior Hezbollah commander and a former holder of the group’s Golan portfolio.
According to the report, he previously served as Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah’s security team commander, as a commander in the Radwan Force, and in the operations department of the Nasser Unit. He was said to have led most of the combat procedures against IDF forces in recent years.
Daqduq was arrested by the Americans in 2007 after allegedly leading the kidnapping and execution of five U.S. soldiers. After his death, Hezbollah published a mourning notice and called on supporters to come for condolences in the Dahieh district of Beirut.
