Israeli Ambassador Says Senior Hezbollah Commander Behind Golan Plan Was Killed
Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, announced that Ali Musa Daqduq, a senior Hezbollah commander, has been killed. The announcement did not say when or where the killing took place.
According to Arabic media reports, Daqduq was apparently killed several days ago in a clash with the enemy in southern Lebanon. Leiter did not provide details to verify the reports, but posted the claim on X.
Leiter said Daqduq was personally responsible for a 2007 terror attack against American forces. He said the United States had jailed him and later placed a $5 million bounty on his head.
Leiter also said Daqduq ran Hezbollah’s “Golan file,” the organization’s plan to invade and seize control of northern Israel.
