The prosecution filed charges on Thursday against two young men from Bat Yam, Nehorai Chabez (18) and Netanel Avodi (22), for throwing a grenade at a Japanese restaurant branch in Kiryat Ono about a month ago. According to the indictment, the two arrived at the restaurant late at night riding electric bicycles and repeatedly threw the grenade at the building until it exploded, after which they fled the scene.
The indictment accuses both of severe intentional injury, damage using an explosive device, and carrying and transporting weapons committed jointly. Additionally, Avodi faces an extra charge of obstructing justice.
