Israeli Authorities Seize Illegally Held Gazelle Near Jenin, Arrest Suspect
Israeli security forces and inspectors from the Nature and Parks Authority discovered a gazelle being illegally held in the basement of a private home near Jenin. The animal was found during a nighttime operation in the village of Raa'i, where it was confined unlawfully. The gazelle, a protected wild species, was confiscated and taken for veterinary examination. It is expected to be transferred to the Ramat Gan Safari for proper care. Police reported that a suspect was arrested for further investigation, and enforcement agencies plan to file charges related to illegal hunting and possession of a wild animal once the investigation concludes.
