Police revealed he had been released from a lengthy prison sentence just six days before the killing, having served time for a previous violent offense. Following intensive investigative efforts by YAMAR detectives, sufficient evidence was gathered against the suspect.
Today, the Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment declaration against the man at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, with formal charges expected to be submitted in the coming days. YAMAR investigation team leader Sergeant Major Yitzhak Dahan described the case as a severe act of violence against a foreign worker who cared for an elderly couple.
