Two Friends Arrested and Named in Eldar Dayan Murder Investigation

The court has authorized the publication of the names of two suspects in the murder of Eldar Dayan, identified as Omri Peretz and Maxim Berberman. Both were friends of Dayan and were arrested following his disappearance near the Yarkon junction, where his body was later found. After days of silence, the suspects have begun cooperating with investigators, who expect the case to become clearer soon.

Authorities are examining two motorcycle helmets found at the scene and the vehicle the three were traveling in, which was discovered abandoned near a gas station with its license plates removed. The suspects had initially exercised their right to remain silent, while investigators sought to piece together the events from the time the trio arrived in the area until Dayan's disappearance. The suspects' detention has been extended as the investigation continues.
