Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene around 21:22 and found the baby unconscious, without pulse or breathing. They performed advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration, before transporting him to the hospital where his death was confirmed.
According to the child safety organization Betrem, this tragic case marks the sixth child fatality caused by choking in Israel so far in 2026. Between 2021 and 2025, 22 children died from external choking incidents.
