Emergency medical teams arrived promptly and began prolonged resuscitation efforts, including defibrillation, before transporting the baby to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer while continuing life-saving procedures. The infant's condition is currently critical.
Menashe Goldis, a United Hatzalah medic who first reached the scene, described performing extended resuscitation with other medics, including electric shocks, before the infant was rushed to the hospital. Rescue officials Oshy Shlomovitz, Chaim Bergman, Daniel Horberg, and Shabtai Ortner confirmed the infant was brought to them unconscious, without pulse or breathing, after choking on the plastic bag. They administered advanced resuscitation and defibrillation en route to the hospital's shock room.
