Despite playing over half the match with ten men after a red card to Romanes in the 36th minute, Ferencvaros secured a 3-4 aggregate victory over Twente, advancing to the next round.
Ferencvaros took the lead with a penalty by Ramakers in the 22nd minute and doubled it in the 50th minute through Joseph’s solo effort. Twente fought back late in the game, with goals from Wout Weghorst in the 82nd minute and Hasselink equalizing in the 86th minute. Limkin received a yellow card in the 61st minute and nearly scored in the 89th but missed.
Another Israeli player, Iham Shhada, appeared as a substitute in the Conference League qualifiers but his team, Velez Mostar from Bosnia, lost 3-0 to Dunajska Streda from Slovakia and was eliminated 4-0 on aggregate.
