About four years after Yosef Yossef was fatally shot outside his apartment in Ramat Gan by his son-in-law's father, Salomon Madmon, the Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Madmon to life imprisonment and ordered him to pay 150,000 shekels in compensation. Madmon was convicted of murder with aggravating circumstances, as well as weapons offenses and threats.
According to the indictment, the killing stemmed from a family dispute following the separation of Madmon's son and Yosef's daughter, who moved with their children to her parents' home in Ramat Gan. On June 18, 2022, Madmon traveled from Petah Tikva to Hadera, obtained a gun and ammunition from a friend, and went directly to Yosef's home. Madmon also aimed the gun at Yosef's wife and daughter who opened the apartment door after hearing the shots.
