A Jerusalem Magistrate's Court held a hearing on Wednesday to extend the detention of Agam Tzarfati, the ex-partner of Benyahu Razi and the main suspect in ordering his murder at an Airbnb apartment in Jerusalem. During the hearing, messages sent by Tzarfati to Razi before the murder were disclosed, including threats such as "You said Shilat and I are whores, right? Come see what whores do" and "I will show you how to behave with kids like you." After arranging the murder with the group, including Linor Sasson and her son Aviaor Sasson, the primary suspect who stabbed Razi to death, Tzarfati urged the participants by saying, "They took our phones, punish them," and while weapons were gathered in her living room, she declared, "I will finish him, he dies today."
Aviaor Sasson was arrested on Tuesday after a two-and-a-half-week manhunt. Investigations revealed he hid in various locations across central and northern Israel before being captured in the Harel Tunnel en route to Jerusalem by taxi, in a police operation involving the National Unit and aerial support. Earlier on Tuesday, a 34-year-old Israel Prison Service officer from Hod Hasharon was arrested on suspicion of obstructing the investigation and breach of trust, allegedly aiding Sasson's escape. Intelligence indicated she was romantically involved with Sasson's imprisoned brother and collaborated to hinder the investigation. She was detained by the Crime Fighting Unit and IPS investigators and is under further questioning.
Last Thursday, police announced the arrest of two additional suspects, including a 16-year-old relative of the main suspect and 18-year-old David Keren from Elad. Police described Keren as a "link between those who ordered the murder and the actual perpetrators." Previously, the Police Investigations Department revealed that a traffic policewoman was questioned for allegedly obstructing justice and breaching trust by meeting with Sasson and an accomplice shortly after the murder and failing to report their information, thereby disrupting the investigation before suspects were arrested. She was released under restrictive conditions after questioning.
