Israeli Meteorological Service Warns of Highest Summer Waves and Strong Currents

The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued a warning for strong winds, powerful currents, and high waves along the Mediterranean coast starting from this afternoon. Dr. Amir Givati, head of the service, stated that these conditions could persist into tomorrow. The relative break in the current heatwave will be accompanied by westerly winds expected to generate waves between 2 and 2.5 meters high, along with strong sea currents. This wave height is forecasted to be the highest recorded so far this summer season. Consequently, a "high and dangerous sea" warning has been issued for today and tomorrow. The heatwave is expected to return in full force by mid-next week, bringing temperatures unusually high for this time of year.
