The story · English

Issa Alhuah, a senior figure linked to the Jeroushi crime family and considered a relative, surrendered to police early Sunday morning as part of the ongoing investigation into the 'Jafnika and grenades' case. He arrived at the Central District police headquarters around 3 a.m., provided a statement, and was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime. Later, he was brought before the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court, which extended his detention until Tuesday, July 21, citing reasonable suspicion but limiting the initial detention period.

The arrests and investigations come amid intensified efforts by the Tel Aviv and Central District police units to curb the violent conflict between the Mosli and Jeroushi families. Authorities have been working around the clock to halt a recent surge in shootings, grenade attacks, and arson incidents. Police hope that increased pressure on key figures will help stabilize the situation and advance the investigation.

The crackdown extends beyond Israel's borders. It was reported that Issam and Ismail Jeroushi, currently abroad, were denied entry into three countries, including two Gulf states. Meanwhile, Eli Mosli, residing in Romania, was summoned for questioning by local authorities, with findings forwarded to the Tel Aviv police.

Violence continues on the ground; overnight, a stun grenade was reportedly thrown at a residence in the Tzahala neighborhood of northern Tel Aviv. The homeowner is known to police, and the incident is believed to be criminally motivated, potentially linked to the Mosli-Jeroushi feud. Investigators are exploring all leads.

Earlier, Yossi Mosli and three other suspects arrested in the case were released to house arrest until Thursday, July 23, with financial guarantees and restrictions on contacting other suspects. Despite multiple arrests and ongoing police operations, the feud remains unresolved, with daily violent incidents persisting. It remains to be seen if Alhuah's arrest will lead to a breakthrough or simply add another link in the ongoing chain of events.
