Ahmad Abu Madigam Convicted of Wife's Murder in Rahat, Sentenced to Life

The Beersheba District Court convicted Ahmad Abu Madigam of the aggravated murder of his wife, Asama, in Rahat in 2023. The conviction carries a mandatory life sentence. On the day of the murder, Abu Madigam called his wife dozens of times, and when she did not answer, he shot her four times in the head and chest. During the trial, he claimed their relationship was not violent and that the shooting was accidental. However, the prosecution presented documents showing previous injuries and that Asama had to leave the home multiple times for extended periods due to abuse. These evidences led the court to reject his claims and convict him of the murder.
