Man Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Murdering Woman in Front of Daughter
A 33-year-old man from the town of Rameh has been sentenced to life imprisonment plus four years by a court for the murder of Rasha Sitawi, an act that occurred in front of her 10-year-old daughter. The crime took place on November 25, 2021. Sitawi, a divorced mother of three, had moved with her children from Rameh to the town of Maghar in July 2020.
Police had previously suggested that another individual may have commissioned the defendant to carry out the shooting. In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered the convicted man to pay 258,000 shekels in compensation to the victim's children and her brother.
