Hidden Refreshing Spring Awaits Travelers Along Jordan Valley Road to Northern Israel

Travelers heading north toward Nablus or Tubas, or simply passing through the Jordan Valley Road, can discover a hidden natural spring and refreshing pools right beside the main route. The spring, known today as Ein Lidor and originally called Ein Hilu, meaning "the sweet" in Arabic due to its clear fresh water, is located just below the road near the Mahola junction. To reach it, drivers turn west at Mahola junction, continue about 2 kilometers, then turn right toward Tubas and proceed approximately 200 meters on a dirt road until spotting flags marking the site.

At the spring, visitors will find two charming swimming pools, one fully shaded by a canopy with adjacent shaded seating areas. The surrounding area features rich riparian vegetation including sumac and tamarisk bushes, indicating high groundwater levels, alongside date palms and fruit-bearing trees. This serene spot offers a natural oasis less than 300 meters from the main road, perfect for a quick and refreshing stop on the way north.
