Israeli Economy Ministry Recalls CHMC S20-B Fan Over Fire and Electric Shock Risks
The Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry has issued an urgent recall for the CHMC S20-B model pedestal fan, imported and sold by I.G. International Electric Ltd. The recall follows safety tests by the Standards Institute revealing the fan fails to meet Israeli electrical safety standards. The product, sold between April 9 and August 31, 2025, poses risks of electric shock, short circuits, and fire due to improperly secured internal wiring that can loosen from vibration, exposing live parts. Additionally, power cables may detach during normal use, increasing the hazard.
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the fan and return it to the point of purchase for a refund or to the company’s warehouse for repair or replacement.
