This move bypasses the need for a government decision, relying instead on parliamentary action. The plan involves forming a special committee to spearhead the legislation, leveraging the "change bloc's" 67-member parliamentary majority. Eisenkot and the bloc's leaders aim to utilize their majority early in the Knesset's term to push this forward.

In addition to the inquiry commission, the bloc is considering establishing six to eight other special committees. These committees would focus on legislative amendments and repealing laws enacted during the judicial overhaul. Concurrently, the change bloc intends to gain control of key Knesset committees, including the Finance Committee and the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. They also plan to replace the current Knesset Speaker, Amir Ohana.

Replacing Ohana requires the signatures of over 61 Knesset members, with a candidate expected to be chosen by consensus among the bloc's parties. Eisenkot stated, "We need to realize the parliamentary majority we have in the Knesset and start working."
