Israeli security forces announced Tuesday the dismantling of a terror infrastructure in the Jenin area that was involved in producing rockets and possessing weapons. Six suspects, residents of Jenin in their 30s, were arrested and are awaiting indictments. The police and Shin Bet stated that the operation, investigated over recent months, uncovered weapons including an M-16 rifle and an RPG. The suspects manufactured rocket bodies and explosives, conducting test launches, including three actual firing tests. Investigations revealed the cell received information on explosive materials via an app from an external contact connected to the main suspect. One suspect reported that their test launches showed success in terms of power and range, with improvements made after each test. Another suspect confessed to assisting the cell in obtaining explosives and selling them weapons, likely among those seized. Written materials detailing the production of explosives, rockets, and charges intended for use against Israel were also confiscated. A prosecutor's statement was filed against the six over the weekend, with indictments expected soon.
