Maccabi Tel Aviv continues its search for a guard as the G-League closes its rosters, further narrowing the team's options. The Israeli club is set to play Paris with a depleted backcourt, missing the injured Ido Landenberg and relying on Yam Madar, Jalen Clark, and Kieton Wallace. Alongside reported interest in Nemanja Nedovic and Killian Hayes, a list of experienced NBA guards remains unsigned and without G-League commitments.
Among the available players is Jamir Young, a 26-year-old point guard who has shown potential but played primarily in the G-League, averaging 8.5 assists last season. Another notable name is Gabe Vincent, a former NBA starter who played for the Miami Heat in the 2022-23 finals and has dealt with injuries, competing for minutes with Kieton Wallace at Atlanta. Vincent is considered a strong defender with a decent three-point shot.
The article also mentions Seth Curry, brother of NBA star Steph Curry, who is 36 and unlikely to move to Europe despite his shooting prowess. Bruce Brown and Kevin McCullar Jr., both NBA champions, are also listed as possibilities, though they lack significant European experience. Kevin Porter Jr., a talented scorer with a history of domestic violence, is described as an enigma, while Cam Thomas is noted as a prolific scorer who might head to China.
Veteran guard Rodrigue Beaubois, an NBA champion with Dallas and a former EuroLeague standout, is also available. While past his prime, he could be a valuable addition if Maccabi signs two guards. The team's options are limited, with many potential targets either committed to NBA or G-League teams or deemed unlikely to make the move to Europe.
