The guard, a guard for Maccabi Tel Aviv, is poised to make his EuroLeague debut on Thursday against Paris. He has been registered for the European competition for the first time in the 2026/27 season, having never played in the EuroLeague for the team. The guard joined Maccabi last season but was sidelined by a complex injury, playing only one game domestically.
This season, the guard has seen increased playing time, including 20 minutes in a victory over Galil Elyon and 21 minutes in a win against Kiryat Ata, where he scored six points and dished out seven assists. Maccabi is currently facing a shortage of guards, with John DiBartolomeo and Iffe Lundberg unavailable. This leaves Jimmy Clark, Yam Madar, and Keton Wallace as the only other guards on the roster, making the guard the fourth.
The guard, who grew up in Maccabi Tel Aviv's system, played in Israel's top two leagues before returning to the club. He is known as a capable shooter, having shot 38.3% from three-point range in the French league prior to joining Maccabi. However, his three-point shooting in his limited appearances for Maccabi has been 3-of-15.
The guard tends to shoot more than pass, often from beyond the arc, with 51% of his shots in France during 2025/26 being three-pointers. His registration for the Paris game presents a potential opportunity, especially with Lundberg injured and DiBartolomeo's wife having given birth. The team is still actively seeking a free-agent guard.
The guard has prior experience playing against Paris in the French league, scoring nine points in a loss and 15 points in a Super Cup victory. His playing style, characterized by quick shots, particularly early in the shot clock, might suit the fast-paced game of Paris, one of the EuroLeague's quickest teams. Coach Oded Kattash has noted Paris's unique tempo, which has led them to defeat Maccabi four times in the last two seasons. It remains to be seen if the guard will seize this chance to make an impact from the bench.
