Leeds United Interested in Signing Maccabi Tel Aviv Midfielder Issouf Sissoko

English Premier League club Leeds United has expressed interest in signing Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Issouf Sissoko, according to reports. While Leeds did not pursue a transfer in the summer, they have continued to monitor Sissoko's progress and may attempt to sign him in the January transfer window. Sissoko has less than a year remaining on his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and although the club holds an option to extend it for another year, they might allow him to leave.

If Leeds decides to make a move for Sissoko in January, it is believed they would not face significant difficulty in convincing the player to depart Maccabi Tel Aviv. Sissoko is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League and playing for Leeds, who might offer a reduced transfer fee for his departure during the January window.

Earlier this week, reports also indicated that Spanish club Valencia and Portuguese club Braga had identified Sissoko as a potential midfield reinforcement. Valencia is reportedly preparing an initial offer of approximately 3 million euros for the player, which they expect to submit to Maccabi Tel Aviv soon.
