Teens Injure Store Clerk With Confetti After Being Denied Free Products

A store clerk in Kiryat Ata was injured in the face by confetti fired at close range by teenagers who were denied free products. The incident occurred on Tuesday, election day, after four youths attempted to take confetti items from the "PartyLand" store without paying. When the clerk refused their request, the teens allegedly began harassing her. Security camera footage, circulating on social media, shows one of the youths firing confetti directly into the clerk's face.

The clerk described the experience as "frightening," recounting how the youths repeatedly opened the store's door and disturbed her work. "Then one of them approached the shelf, took confetti, and fired it at point-blank range, straight into my face," she stated. She reported experiencing a "terrible burning sensation" in her eye, which became red and unbearably painful, causing blurred vision. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics provided her with medical treatment at the scene.

The store owner condemned the act, stating, "There is no place for violence at any age and in any form, neither towards customers nor towards our dedicated employees." He emphasized the need to end violence and impatience and vowed to take all necessary measures to ensure a safe working and shopping environment. Due to the incident, the store closed early, resulting in financial losses for the business.

A police complaint has been filed regarding the incident. As of the report, it was not confirmed if any of the involved youths had been identified or questioned.
