Israeli elections concluded with no clear winner, leaving most parties frustrated. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud exceeded poll expectations but his bloc lost significant support, falling to 53 mandates. The "change bloc" also underperformed, failing to secure a majority. Haredi parties saw a decline in mandates, and new parties struggled to enter the Knesset. Arab parties achieved historic representation but face challenges in translating this into political influence.

Israel's recent elections, characterized by numerous participants and internal divisions, have resulted in a scenario where nearly all political factions are left dissatisfied, with frustration emerging as the sole victor. While the Likud party celebrated exceeding expectations with 26 mandates, a significant increase from pre-election polls, this success was overshadowed by the dramatic reduction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc from 68 to 53 mandates, the lowest since 2009. This decline leaves Netanyahu facing difficulties in forming a coalition, particularly due to the demands of his Haredi partners for a conscription exemption, which complicates potential alliances with centrist parties.

The "change bloc" also experienced significant disappointment. Gadi Eisenkot's party had aimed to surpass Likud and become the largest faction, but their combined 48 mandates fell short of Netanyahu's bloc. This outcome dashed Eisenkot's argument for leading a transitional government, leaving him without a majority or a relative advantage. Even with the potential inclusion of Ra'am, the bloc would only reach 55-56 mandates, a fragile base for a government.

Other parties also faced setbacks. Yisrael Beiteinu gained only one mandate, falling short of poll predictions. Naftali Bennett's party secured 12 mandates, a result that did not meet his aspirations to return to the Prime Minister's office. The "Democrats" party, a union of Labor and Meretz, achieved eight mandates, but this union merely prevented vote loss rather than generating new electoral momentum.

The Haredi parties, Shas and United Torah Judaism, saw a combined decrease from 18 to 14 mandates, despite demographic growth suggesting potential gains. Shas, in particular, dropped from 11 to seven mandates, losing support among traditional Sephardic voters due to its rigid stance against conscription, which conflicted with the military service of many of its supporters. United Torah Judaism maintained its strength but saw a shift of votes towards smaller parties challenging the established Haredi factions.

The Religious Zionism party, with six mandates, can claim a relative success given that many polls predicted it would fall below the electoral threshold. Otzma Yehudit, despite high expectations and the high-profile move of MK Tali Gottlieb, remained largely unchanged in size. New parties led by Ofer Winter and Yoaz Hendel failed to pass the electoral threshold, highlighting the difficulty for new political entities to gain Knesset representation without established backing.

Conversely, the Arab parties, Ra'am and the Joint List, achieved a historic 19 mandates combined, reflecting the Arab population's significant electoral power. However, this strength has not translated into political influence, as the centrist "change bloc" parties, some of whom pledged not to rely on Arab parties, have been hesitant to engage with them, creating a paradox where significant representation faces political marginalization.
