Toto Cup Final Pits Rivals for Prize Money and Prestige

Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv are set to clash in a highly anticipated Toto Cup final at Bloomfield Stadium, with both teams' fan bases expected to fill the venue. While the match is framed as a significant encounter beyond just the trophy, the financial implications of winning are also substantial. The winning team will receive NIS 900,000, with the runner-up taking home NIS 650,000.

The league management highlights the game as potentially the most expensive in Israeli football history due to security costs. An estimated 600 security guards and 400 police officers will be deployed. A buffer zone between fan sections will feature a special banner dedicated to reservists, adding to the expenses. Current police directives prohibit the entry of smoke bombs and large flags due to concerns over flares, a restriction that remains in place.

Separately, the Football League Management has unveiled a new, modern design for the Toto Cup trophy. Standing 50 cm tall, the trophy features unique textures and draws inspiration from the clean, sculptural style of leading international football awards, reinterpreted with a local, contemporary feel. Its creators state that the swirling motion and sharp lines are intended to reflect the dynamic pace, tension, and constant movement of the game.
