An investigation into alleged abuse at a daycare center in Ariel has expanded, with a court on Wednesday allowing the publication of the names of three suspects. The suspects are the daycare's director, Natalia Kasilavsky, and two assistants, Anna Pelegsky and Darina Khalufa. Investigators are currently reviewing approximately 2,500 video recordings from the facility, which reportedly show dozens of alleged instances of harm to toddlers. These alleged acts include slaps, kicks, and throwing children, with some cases suggesting staff may have blocked children's airways while trying to sedate them. The allegations have not yet been proven in court.

The case has caused significant distress among parents whose children attended the daycare. One mother described sleepless nights since viewing footage she believes shows her son being harmed, expressing hope for a lengthy prison sentence if the suspects are convicted. The investigation began last week with the arrest of two daycare workers on suspicion of abuse and neglect of helpless individuals, followed by the arrest of the director. The daycare center has been ordered closed for 60 days. Kasilavsky's detention was extended by five days on Wednesday, and a hearing for Pelegsky and Khalufa is expected on Thursday.
