Ofer Winter Takes Responsibility for Election Defeat, Vows to Continue

Ofer Winter, chairman of the 'Amcha Israel' party, has publicly addressed the party's failure to cross the electoral threshold in the recent elections. Winter stated that he takes full responsibility for the outcome, expressing his intention to bring hope and an opportunity to establish a broad right-wing government. He acknowledged the disappointment but indicated a commitment to learning from the experience and continuing to strive for different leadership for the people of Israel.

Winter's remarks follow a similar statement from Netali Shem Tov, a candidate on his list, who also accepted responsibility for the wasted votes that could have benefited the right-wing bloc. Shem Tov expressed her disappointment at not succeeding in her mission and thanked activists and Winter, while also calling on party leaders to convene and form a government promptly.

The 'Amcha Israel' party, led by Winter, garnered 78,377 votes, approximately 1.61% of the valid ballots. This figure falls significantly short of the 3.25% electoral threshold, which requires around 158,000 votes to secure Knesset representation and four mandates. The party was approximately 80,000 votes shy of crossing the threshold.
