The warning follows an inspection by food inspectors from the ministry's Central District, which revealed the factory was operating without a license and under extremely poor sanitary conditions, posing a significant risk to public health.
According to a ministry statement, the inspected products include shelled nuts, walnuts, dried cranberries, sesame seeds, dark raisins, coconut, and other types of nuts and snacks. These products were packaged in sizes ranging from 200 grams to 1 kilogram, under the "Nir V'nitzan Trade" brand. The ministry specifically cautioned consumers to avoid products with expiration dates up to and including February 2028.
In response to the findings, Dr. Udi Kleiner, the District Health Officer for the Central District, signed an administrative closure order for the factory on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The factory is situated on Derech HaMeyasdim Street in Moshav Azaria.
The Ministry of Health urges the public to refrain from consuming any of the aforementioned products and is providing details on the affected items to ensure consumer safety.
