Israel's Ministry of Health has issued a public warning and ordered the closure of the "Nir Vinitzan Trade Ltd." food factory in Moshav Azaria, located in central Israel. The action follows a complaint that led to an inspection revealing severe sanitation deficiencies and unlicensed production.

The inspection, conducted by food service supervisors in the Central District, uncovered extremely poor sanitary conditions and the operation of the factory without a license. Consequently, the Ministry of Health issued an administrative closure order for the facility.

Products affected by the recall include shelled nuts, walnuts, cranberries, sesame seeds, dark raisins, coconut, and various other types of seeds and nuts. These items are sold in packaging ranging from 200 grams to one kilogram, with "Nir Vinitzan Trade Ltd." listed as the brand or packager. The warning applies to all relevant products currently in the distribution chain with expiration dates up to and including February 2028.

Dr. Udi Klinar, the District Health Officer for the Central District, signed the administrative closure order. The Ministry of Health is urging consumers who have purchased these products to check their packaging and refrain from consuming them, even if they appear normal. The concern stems from the potential risk of contamination and harm to public health due to the substandard production and packaging conditions, although no specific bacteria or illness cases have been reported in connection with the products.
