The Rosh Ha'ayin Municipality inaugurated two new centers last week: "Nativim Le'horut" (Paths to Parenthood) and a renewed Family Connection Center, both operated by the Social Services Department. These facilities aim to expand municipal services for families in the city. The centers are located in a building at 29 Shfetzky Street, a historically significant site that previously housed the local council.
The "Nativim Le'horut" program offers guidance, support, and tools for parents navigating the challenges of raising children. It provides professional assistance tailored to family needs, focusing on strengthening parent-child bonds, improving communication, and fostering shared growth. The adjacent Family Connection Center is designed to facilitate and maintain contact between children and parents in a safe, supportive environment overseen by professionals, ensuring the continuity of family relationships.
The opening of these centers aligns with the Social Services Department's broader expansion of services in recent years, which includes facilities like the Mitzpe Afek Club, the Volunteer House, the Senior Citizens Club in Pisgot, and a rehabilitative daycare.
Hagit Ben-Ratzon, Director of the Social Services Department, described the center's opening as a significant development addressing genuine needs and thanked the mayor, the Director General, department staff, and professional partners. Mayor Raz Sagie praised the initiative, acknowledging that while parenthood is a rewarding journey, families sometimes require supportive assistance and professional tools. He emphasized the city's commitment to supporting individuals, children, and families, expressing hope that the new center will serve as a hub for listening, growth, and strengthening family ties.
