EuroLeague Final Four to be Held in Abu Dhabi in 2027 and 2029

The EuroLeague has announced that the pinnacle event of the season, the Final Four, will be hosted in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in 2027. This marks a significant expansion of the tournament into the Middle East. The league also confirmed that Abu Dhabi will host the event again in 2029, underscoring a growing partnership.

The games are scheduled to take place on May 28 and May 30 at the Etihad Arena. This decision follows a successful event held in Abu Dhabi in 2025. "The return of the Final Four in 2027 and 2029 reflects the strength of Abu Dhabi's partnership with the EuroLeague and the Emirate's status as a home for basketball in the region," stated the Director General of the Local Tourism Ministry.

Chus Bueno, who recently visited Israel to assess the security situation for potentially bringing games back to the country, commented on the Abu Dhabi agreement. "Our renewed commitment with Abu Dhabi for the 2027 and 2029 Final Fours represents another significant step forward in our international growth strategy," Bueno said. He highlighted the success of integrating traditional European basketball markets with global cities offering world-class facilities and strong tourism appeal.

Abu Dhabi has become a key partner in the EuroLeague's vision to bring European club basketball to a wider global audience. The league views this model as highly successful, combining established basketball hubs with attractive, globally-oriented cities.
