All roads leading to Eilat have been closed in both directions due to heavy rains and flooding in southern Israel, the Israeli police announced on Tuesday, October 27. The police reported that a section of Highway 90 near the northern entrance to Eilat was blocked due to flooding, along with Highway 12. Earlier, Highway 40 between the Mitspe Ramon and Ktora junctions, and Highway 13 between the Menuha and Tzihor junctions were also closed. This effectively cuts off Eilat's road access to the rest of the country, with the sole exception of transport heading from the city to Ramon Airport.
