A man carrying a knife was apprehended in Tel Aviv's A-Mesila Park on October 27, during a meeting between Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats party, and constituents. The incident was reported by Keshet-12.

The Democrats party stated that an unidentified individual behaving menacingly approached Golan. The politician's security detail blocked the man, and a knife fell from his clothing. The police offered a different account, reporting that officers observed a suspicious item under the man's jacket, stopped him for a check, and discovered the knife. Authorities emphasized that there was no attempt to attack Golan. The detained individual, a Jerusalem resident around 20 years old, was taken to a Tel Aviv police station for questioning as investigators work to determine the circumstances.

Following the incident, Golan accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of inciting hatred, declaring, "Incitement and violence will not intimidate us." The Shin Bet assumed responsibility for Golan's security on October 26, and police had previously elevated his threat level to four on a six-point scale.
