Reality TV Star and Hospital Spokesperson Clash Over 2021 Birth Incident

Content creator Koreen Gideon and Avi Shoshan, a panelist on the show 'HaPatriotim' and former spokesperson for Ichilov Hospital, have reignited a public dispute over Gideon's childbirth experience at the hospital in January 2021. Gideon recently attacked Shoshan, calling him "the villain of the season" and referencing the incident where she complained about her postpartum room conditions.

At the time of the incident, Gideon posted on social media about her dissatisfaction with her hospital room, describing it as having no window and lacking a comfortable chair, and stating the conditions were "terrible." This post caused a stir, and the hospital, with Shoshan as its spokesperson, responded. Prof. Yariv Yogev, then the hospital's spokesperson, countered Gideon's claims, stating she was in a private room in a new, luxurious maternity ward and shared a photo of the room. He accused her of attacking the medical staff and asserted the conditions were among the best in public healthcare.

Gideon brought the issue back into the public eye recently, linking it to Shoshan's participation in the reality show 'Survivor.' She posted on Instagram, suggesting he should have been fired before her birth and calling him "the villain of the season."

In response, Shoshan released a series of Instagram stories detailing his perspective. He explained that the incident occurred during a severe COVID-19 wave, with the hospital's ICUs full. While initially sympathetic to Gideon due to her recent childbirth, he felt compelled to defend the hospital and its staff. Shoshan escalated his personal attacks on Gideon, calling her "spoiled and privileged" with a "terrible personality," and accused her of enjoying media exposure but being unwilling to accept criticism.

Shoshan also stated that despite his anger at the time, he had previously reached out to Gideon to resolve the issue. The dispute, which was seemingly resolved with an apology and reconciliation years ago, has resurfaced as a public, personal confrontation between the two, with each presenting their version of the past events.
