Avi Shoshan, formerly the spokesperson for Ichilov Hospital and a prominent panelist on Channel 14's "The Patriots," has been suspended from the program due to his participation in the new season of the reality show "Survivor," which airs on rival Channel 13.

Channel 14 decided to suspend Shoshan from "The Patriots" for the duration of his involvement in "Survivor." The decision reflects the intense competition between the channels and their struggle for talent loyalty. Channel 13 responded dismissively, stating, "Avi Shoshan can be seen tonight on our show 'Survivor.'"

Shoshan's appearance on "Survivor" has already generated controversy. In a promotional clip, he stated he was proud to be "the first to pay for the October 7th failure," referring to his dismissal from Ichilov after a press conference with released hostage Yochved Lifshitz. This statement drew sharp criticism from viewers and released hostage Rom Barslavsky, who was angered by the comparison to the heavy price paid by victims and hostages.

Further controversy erupted after the season premiere when contestant Chaya Apolion was eliminated. Her sister, Yochi, launched a harsh attack on Shoshan via Instagram, calling him the "next to be eliminated anyway" and adding, "Karma is a bitch darling, don't forget to do PR." She quickly deleted the post.

Shoshan's participation in "Survivor" is creating drama both on the island and in television studios. It remains to be seen if he will return to "The Patriots" panel after his "Survivor" journey concludes.
