These payments, totaling approximately 1.19 million shekels (over $300,000) over nine months, were for work with foreign clients, including projects related to Qatar.
Specific payments included 68,000 shekels in January, 178,000 in February, 99,000 in March, 79,000 in April, and 206,000 in May. Three additional transfers of 187,000 shekels each were also received. One project linked to these payments was "Lighthouse," aimed at promoting Qatar globally, for which Urich reportedly received about $18,000 monthly.
The revelations raise questions about Urich's work while serving in the Prime Minister's circle. Urich maintains he is an external consultant whose work for the Likud party allows him to pursue other projects. He reportedly did not have a conflict of interest arrangement or undergo a security clearance for his external work.
Urich's status remains debated, with one judge generally accepting his external consultant position while another noted difficulties with the issue.
