Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's advisor, Yonatan Urich, reportedly confessed during police questioning that he continued to work for Qatar for months after the October 7th Hamas attack. This revelation has sparked strong criticism from opposition figures, notably Naftali Bennett, chairman of the Together party.

Bennett called on Netanyahu to publicly address his relationship with Qatar, which he described as a funder of Hamas. "While our sons and daughters fought in Gaza and our hostages languished in tunnels, from the Prime Minister's office, they worked for Qatar, the funder of the "Nukhba" terrorists. Inside the holy of holies of Israeli security, a group of agents and traitors worked for an enemy state," Bennett stated. He accused Qatar of paying salaries to individuals close to Netanyahu and demanded the Prime Minister explain why he does not define Qatar as an enemy state and continues to employ Urich, whom Bennett labeled "the Qatari agent."

Bennett further claimed that Hamas is rebuilding and preparing for another massacre, asserting that Qatar has taken control of Gaza. He accused Netanyahu of funding Hamas, alleging the Prime Minister now finances the terror group with 250 million shekels monthly, double the pre-war amount. Bennett vowed that if elected, his government would declare Qatar an enemy state, expel it from Gaza, and defeat Hamas.

In separate developments, two polls released on Thursday showed contrasting results for the upcoming elections. One poll indicated Gadi Eisenkot's Yish party leading with 24 seats, followed by Likud with 21, and Bennett's Together party with 14. The other poll showed Yish with 20 seats, Likud with 18, and Together with 14. Both polls showed Netanyahu trailing Eisenkot in suitability for Prime Minister.

Additionally, the Shin Bet and police announced the arrest of two suspects on Route 1 near Latrun who were allegedly planning an immediate attack against Israeli civilians. The forces acted on precise intelligence from the Shin Bet, and no security forces were injured.
