Israeli pop sensation Noa Kirel's musical telenovela, "Noa's Path" (Mírame Así - El Camino de Noa), which has already achieved success in Latin America on Amazon Prime Video and Argentina's América TV, is set to premiere in Israel. Channel 16 has announced its acquisition of the exclusive broadcast rights for the series as part of its upcoming expanded programming lineup. The 24-episode series, each about 30 minutes long, was filmed entirely in Argentina and stars Kirel alongside Argentine teen star and singer Agustín Bernasconi. The romantic drama follows a young woman, portrayed by Kirel, who, after a heartbreak, joins a nascent musical group led by Tommy, played by Bernasconi. Their collaboration ignites a passionate love triangle while they pursue their dreams in the music industry. The series features an original soundtrack with nine new songs performed by Kirel and other cast members, including the title track "MÍRAME ASÍ" and a rendition of the Latin hit "Ni Una Sola Palabra."
The production is a collaboration between prominent industry figures, including producer Yair Dori, the international studio SIPUR headed by Emilio Schenker, and production companies FAM Contenidos and SWAP. However, the series' launch has been accompanied by a significant legal dispute. A lawsuit seeking 2.6 million shekels in damages has been filed against Yair Dori and the Israeli and Argentine production companies. The claim, brought by screenwriter and actress Rotem Carmeli, alleges that the series heavily relies on her original format, "Facu Yeah," which she previously presented to Dori, citing substantial similarities in plot, character development, and settings. The Israeli broadcast on Channel 16 will offer local fans the opportunity to see Kirel speaking and singing in Spanish in the ambitious production. The official premiere date is expected to be announced soon.
