Alert Boy Finds Iranian Missile Part Near West Bank Settlement

A nine-year-old boy from the settlement of Kedumim in the Samaria region discovered a suspicious object while walking near the community on Tuesday. The boy, demonstrating remarkable presence of mind, kept his distance from the item and immediately alerted his father. Security forces, including the military and police, were dispatched to the scene. They identified the object as a fuel tank from a missile that had landed in the area during the recent conflict with Iran. The object was safely removed, and local officials praised the child's vigilance. The incident occurred just a week after a significant disaster in northern Israel, underscoring the importance of the boy's responsible actions. The head of the Kedumim Council, Ozal Vatik, commended the boy's behavior, emphasizing the need for adherence to safety guidelines. He urged parents to discuss safety procedures with their children regarding suspicious objects. The Kedumim Local Council issued a warning that potentially dangerous items, including remnants from the war with Iran or explosives planted by terrorists, may still be present in and around the settlement. They reiterated the critical instruction: never touch or move a suspicious object, but instead to move away, keep others clear, and report it immediately to security forces.
