Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly considering a potential return for guard Tyler Dorsey, who is experiencing significant difficulties with his current team, Olympiacos. Dorsey's release from the Greek club is seen as a likely outcome, with BasketNews identifying five potential destinations for him, including a return to the Israeli club.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is looking to strengthen its backcourt, especially after losing player Iffe Lundberg to injury for several weeks. Dorsey previously played for Maccabi for two seasons, and his maternal ties to Jerusalem are noted as a factor that could support such a move. His return could potentially boost team morale following a challenging offseason that included issues with the club's ownership.

Financially, Dorsey would likely need to accept a reduced salary to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv. However, the club has demonstrated a willingness to invest in players they believe can significantly improve the team. Currently, no formal discussions have taken place between Dorsey and Maccabi.

Other European clubs mentioned as potential suitors for Dorsey include PAOK Thessaloniki, which is reportedly leading the race, Olimpia Milano, Real Madrid, and Panathinaikos.
