Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly considering a move for guard Tyler Dorsey, who is experiencing significant difficulties with his current team, Olympiacos. Dorsey's release from the Greek club is seen as a likely outcome, with BasketNews identifying several potential destinations for him, including a return to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Dorsey previously played for Maccabi for two seasons, and his maternal ties to Jerusalem are cited as a factor that could facilitate a move back to Israel. The team, which has had a lackluster start to the season and a problematic offseason, could see Dorsey's acquisition as a morale boost.
Financially, Dorsey would likely need to accept a pay cut to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv. However, the club has demonstrated a willingness to invest in players they believe can strengthen the team. Currently, no formal discussions have taken place between Dorsey and Maccabi.
Other European clubs mentioned as potential suitors for Dorsey include PAOK Thessaloniki, reportedly leading the race, Olimpia Milano, Real Madrid, and Panathinaikos.
