Ghana witch doctor says he has cursed Harry Kane before England match

Ahead of England’s World Cup match against Ghana on Tuesday at 23:00, Ghanaian witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam said he intends to “stop” England captain Harry Kane. Bonsam, who previously claimed responsibility for Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury at the 2014 World Cup, said this time his target is the Bayern Munich striker, and that his goal is to help Ghana.

Kane arrives in excellent form after scoring twice in England’s 4-2 win over Croatia. He is now one goal away from breaking Gary Lineker’s record as England’s all-time leading scorer in World Cup finals. Despite a bandage on his leg after the Croatia match, England believe he is fit to play.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Bonsam said, “I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just something enough to stop him against my country. I will do my job to help Ghana.” He also repeated his 2014 claim that Ronaldo’s injury was not medical but “spiritual.”

England are not taking the mystical threats seriously and are focused on the tournament. Thomas Tuchel said, “It will be a very difficult game, but I want us to enjoy the task at the World Cup.” He also said he has selection decisions to make up front, with Noni Madueke impressing on the right, Marcus Rashford offering a case for starting after coming off the bench for Anthony Gordon, and Bukayo Saka returning to form and potentially set for his first minutes. Tuchel added that “all four of our wingers are competing at the highest level,” and that recent training sessions have forced “difficult decisions.”
